Course Description

This foundational course in English composition focuses on developing essential writing skills for academic, professional, and personal communication. Students will learn to construct clear, persuasive, and impactful writing that integrates faith-based perspectives. Assignments are designed to build foundational skills while providing practical applications.

What you will learn

• Academic Writing Mastery: Compose a 1,500-word academic essay that demonstrates clarity, organization, and integration of faith-based perspectives by the end of Week 2.

• Professional Document Development: Create a professional resume that highlights skills, experiences, and accomplishments, incorporating faith-based elements where relevant, to be completed by Week 3.

• Reflective Writing Development: Write a 1,000-word reflective blog post on a personal or community faith experience, showcasing clear expression, logical structure, and thoughtful integration of faith-based insights, to be completed by Week 4.

• Portfolio Compilation: Compile a portfolio that includes the academic essay, professional resume, and reflective blog post, each demonstrating clarity, organization, and integration of faith-based perspectives, by the end of Week 4.
